Well, yesterday we celebrated Rusty’s birthday – he turned 6! I know, that sounds silly to you, but he is my buddy! He has been with me through my hard times and we just have a special bond and he holds a special place in my heart! We didn’t do the usual celebration (Sonic drive thru)! I did, however, put on his “It’s My Birthday” bandana and I gave him a special treat! I also tried (notice that I said tried) to take some cute pictures of Rusty with Nathan!

Happy Birthday, Big Guy!

Well, it seems like ages since I have posted! I have been busy, busy, busy and feel like things are starting to calm down a little . . . I know that sounds funny knowing that Christmas is next week!
Not to worry, though! All that has been going on has been good!
The first thing that happened since my last post was that my heartbeat running around outside of my body turned one! We celebrated Nathan’s first birthday with a small get together of friends and family in the park where we always play.

IT WAS FREEZING!!! It was a very special time inspite of the weather! My brother and his family drove in for the weekend and we had several friends helps us celebrate too! Thank you for sharing in this special time with my little family.

On the actual day of his birthday, I took cupcakes up to Nathan’s school so that he could celebrate with his friends!

The Birthday Boy! Yep, he got a cupcake for breakfast!

Here is Nathan (second from the left) with his friends and teachers! He cried through his entire party! He was upset that I hadn’t picked him up! I guess he was afraid that I was going to leave without him! He has a great little class!
Soon after his party, we (including Rusty) hopped in my car and drove to Missouri to spend Thanksgiving with my mom and dad! It was quite a trip! We managed to squeeze a 12 hour drive in to 18 hours! OH MY GOODNESS! We broke it up on the way back. We spent the night in Tulsa and then drove the rest of the way the next day! Nathan was the champ, Rusty was anxious the whole time and had to be medicated for the return trip and I was sooooo tired that I had to pull over and sleep a few times on the way up! The visit was wonderful! I loved spending time with my parents and eating breakfast at Panera!

Nathan loved exploring Memaw’s house! He especially loved playing in her kitchen! Memaw loves “help” and Nathan is quite the helper!

Our attempt at getting a good family picture!
